Nulogica Cleansing Pads are pre-saturated with tens of brightening skincare ingredients including caffeine, licorice root extract, hyaluronic acid, kojic acid and lactic acid. I don’t know if a cleansing pad is the most effective mechanism for all of those skincare ingredients to be absorbed into the skin or what concentrations those ingredients are in but it is undeniable that my skin looks cleaner and brighter after using the cleansing pad.
I removed one pad, swiped it all over my face and waited two minutes for my skin to dry before applying moisturizer. My skin didn’t feel tight, like it does after many cleansers, and it didn’t have any reactions of irritation or redness. This cleansing pad is surprisingly gentle, given all of its brightening ingredients. I have used the pad every morning this week without irritation.
The cleansing pad avoids outright irritating reactions with its gentle formulation: it is paraben free, alcohol free, sulfate free, mineral oil free, silicone free, and phthalate free. I was impressed with Nulogica’s commitment to a sustainable product. I will definitely keep using this product.
My one qualm with this product is its packaging. The tub of cleansing pads arrived in a large, ziploc-type plastic bag. When opening the tub, the product was covered by a thick glossy paper seal. After removing the paper, there was still an aluminum seal to remove before I could access the cleansing pads. I appreciate that Nulogica is making an effort to make the product tamper-proof, and is using layers to prevent spill and evaporation but it felt wasteful and excessive. I hope Nulogica works out their packaging in future generations.
