This facial scrub is vitamin rich with A, C, & E as well as numerous botanical extracts including Aloe Vera which is very calming to the skin. This is a white light cream scrub with an abrasive texture to deep clean the pores on those with sensitive skin. Having rosacea and winter being my most sensitive time with frequent flareups I have a hard time finding skincare products that work repeatedly without contributing to flareups. I did a skin test on my hand with no adverse reaction so I proceeded the next day to try a small area on my face to see if this would be a good fit. All was good. So I went ahead the next day and used on my entire face using caution as I rubbed it around lightly with minimal pressure. The following morning, only the small patch where I had done the sample test was red and felt somewhat irritated. I did not use for the rest of the week and tried again the following week, applying to my whole face with no issues the following day. I believe for my overly sensitive skin, I cannot use this more than once a week but it did make my skin feel clean and super soft afterwards. At the current price of $20 for this 4 oz bottle this is a good value for a quality skincare product. Just make sure you do your patch test and act accordingly to your skin reactions.
I have super duper sensitive skin and this hasn't caused any irritation for me. it feels pretty gritty, thanks to the sugarcane used for the function of exfoliation. The ingredients are of quality and this is definitely suitable for sensitive skin. it comes out white, thick and creamy. A little goes a long way so be mindful when using, you get a lot of use from one bottle of this. I do not find this to be too abrasive, my skin would show otherwise if it was but we are all different. It has a clean citrus smell to it, which is something I like and prefer. It leaves my skin with a smooth texture afterwards, nice and soft from exfoliating dead skin and debris away. As an aesthetician I would recommend this to anyone looking for skin safe or sensitive skin safe products that exfoliate.
Because I started a new skin care routine recently that includes micro needling, which causes damage and makes your skin pretty sensitive, I decided to try this scrub for sensitive skin.
The bottle contains 4 ounces of product, but a little does go a long way. The cream is more of a medium thickness, white color and doesn't have a lot of odor to it except for whatever is included in the ingredients list. Ingredients list is pretty comprehensive with lots of botanicals and vitamin like Vitamins A,C and E.
What I like the most is the fine texture of the grit this scrub has. Very fine particles, which makes it easier to really get in all the pores and folds of your face and neck.
I washed off easily and left my skin feeling super clean and any last trace of makeup was washed away completely.
I've been using this every other day for about two weeks now, and I really like it.
This is the first time in many years that I have consistently used a scrub on my face, and I'm happy that I've had the opportunity to try this face scrub.
I have several products that I use these days in my daily anti-aging beauty routine. I have serums that I use in the morning and at night, and a moisturizer for morning and night as well. And I use different moisturizers that are thicker on my neck. I also sometimes use a toner after I remove makeup, on the days that I wear makeup.
I wanted to try a scrub because with all the various products that I use, there is the possibility of my pores getting a bit clogged, and possibly my skin looking dull, so a gentle scrub makes sense.
I also have extremely sensitive skin. I break out in hives with about 90-95% of the products that I try. But I also think that it's important to nourish and care for my skin as I age, and I am 53, so when I have the opportunity, I continue to try new products in the hope that I will have another brand or item that I can add to my list of safe items to use.
Happily, this is a safe item! I have no negative reaction at all to this. My face feels good after I use it, and there is no itching or burning at all. It's hard to tell, but I feel like my skin is a bit brighter and it glows a bit more than it did before I started using this two weeks ago. I like the way it feels when I'm exfoliating my skin, and I like the way my skin feels soft and hydrated after as well. Going forward, I plan to use this every three days instead of every other day because I feel like twice a week is perfect to clear away any of the serums, makeup, or moisturizer that my usual gentle foam cleanser misses. But I wanted to try it every other day for two weeks so that I could give an honest review of its benefits or negatives. Happily, it's all benefits and no negatives for my skin!
As others have mentioned, it has a light citrus scent, and when looking at the ingredients, there is citrus on the list. It's a pleasant scent that I like, and I find it natural. I can smell it while I am using the product, but there is no remaining scent once I wash it off my face, so it doesn't linger.
It comes in a 4-oz bottle for $20.00. At my current planned usage of twice a week, I expect that this will easily last 4-5 months, so repurchasing this 2-3 times a year is a small investment for the lovely benefits that I am seeing in my glowing skin. I'm interested in checking out the other items this company is offering because I've had such good luck with this gentle scrub, and it's at a good price point as well. Also to note is that it's manufactured in the USA.
This product is advertised as “safe for sensitive skin” which can lead people to think it has a gentle texture, it does not. The scrub has some grit to it that works well to give your face a deep clean feel. There is no artificial fragrance added which is why I think it is a good choice for sensitive skin. Sensitive skin can be interpreted in a few different ways and I think it’s important to realize that when considering this product. My husband has sensitive skin due to eczema and I think this is perfect for him. A baby has sensitive skin and I would not use this on a baby.
